Droids

I converted these Droids from Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. They are replacements for the R2D2.opt as seen in the main game and the HangarDroid.opt and the HangarDroid2.opt which are seen in the Hangar.

Instead of making new models and textures, I thought bugger it and converted these instead, nobody else thought of it so there you go. ?

You have a choice of Droids to install for either the Calamari Hangar or Imperial Hangar.

The Astromech Droids

The R2D2 comes with Flightgroup colours

RED (default) = Standard R2D2 colours
YELLOW = Imperial colours
BLUE = Standard R2D2 colours
GREEN = Imperial colours

The R5D4 doesn't have any FG colours but make a change from the R2D2 version. When installing either one of these I have included a DATech picture which replaces R2D2 seen in the Skirmish section of the game with either the R2 of R4 pictures.

The Hangar Droid

Any of these Droids will replace the Missile Truck Droid. I've included the Original TG Hangar Droid so if at anytime you have had enough of seeing the new Droids these can easily be installed to the original version.

So what do we have? Well first the R2D2 or R4D5 both these Droids have all three feet and the heads rotate.

You can install the Standard R2D2 an Imperial version or a R5D4 version which roam around moving there heads.

The Mouse Droid does'’t do a lot as it just scoots around the floor

The Interrogator Droid again doesn't do a lot but it floats about 1.5m above the ground.

I've included the Imperial R2D2, Interrogator Droid or the Mouse Droid for Imperial purposes only, meaning the event of an Imperial Hangar, but it’s up to you if you wish to mix and match.

The Hangar Droid Two

Any of these Droids will replace the Little Blue Droid. I've included the Original TG Hangar Droid2 so if at anytime you have had enough of seeing the new Droids these can easily be installed to the original version.

This is the Imperial Probe Droid as seen on Hoth in ESB, it floats about 3m above the hangar floor. There are two versions, one a Rebel version for the Calamari Hangar, (Yes I know what you thinking, the Rebels didn't have Probe Droids, so who cares humour me). ?

The Imperial version is the Standard Black colour for use with an Imperial Hangar.

The Rebel Version is a sandy brown colour with a few Rebel logos on it.

Anyhow I hope you like the change

All software vectors have been zeroed making the textures sharper.

Imperial Hangar Extra's

The Extras included in this patch refer to the other items found in the Hangar; there are a few options for you to choose before installation so please read below.

With the Hangar Crane (the one on the floor) you have a choice of options:

Hangar Crane will replace it with an ATST (All Terrain Scout Transport) the Head rotates
Hangar Crane (Blank) will replace it with a blank cube which is below the floor giving the impression that it isn't there.
Hangar Crane (Original) will restore the original Floor Crane

With the Hangar Workstand you also have a few options:

Hangar Workstand DSD will replace them with a Death Star Droid
Hangar Workstand PROT will replace them with a Silver Protocol Droid
Hangar Workstand (Blank) will replace them with a blank cube which is below the floor giving the impression that it isn't there.
Hangar Workstand (Original) will restore the original Workstand

Sounds (Imperial) these will replace four wave files, giving the hangar a more Imperial ambiance, since the roof crane has been removed or replaced the crane sounds have been replaced with blank wave files.

Sounds (Original) will restore all wave files replaced with the above mentioned wave files

So a typical installation for the Imperial Hangar Extras would be to select

Hangar Crane
Hangar Workstand DSD
Sounds (Imperial)

I also recommend you download the Replacement Droids Xmod to replace the Hangar Droids, these will also add to the Imperial Ambiance.

Hangar Extra's

These are a few more replacement Opts for the Hangar Workstand; there are a few options for you to choose before installation so please read below.

Hangar Workstand Gold will replace them with a Gold Protocol Droid
Hangar Workstand Rebel will replace them with an Rebel Soldier
Hangar Workstand Storm will replace them with an Imperial Storm Trooper

The Gold Protocol Droid is meant for installation into the Calamari Hangar and the Storm Trooper is meant for the Imperial Hangar.
